B2C MARKETING COLLATERAL

SUN-MAID RAISINS

Sun-Maid needed  an educational/recipe book as a premium for an FSI promotion.  The 20-page book included 2 pages on the nutritional  value of raisins and 17 recipes. And the entire book had to be produced in 5 days.  I got the copy done and Tad Ware & Company (TWC) got the rest done! The book turned out to be very popular with Sun-Maid customers and was reprinted several times.

PRESTWICK GOLF CLUB

Prestwick Golf Club needed a sales folder for promotional materials about their  golf club, restaurant, catering services and health club.  As a freelance project, I wrote the folder and re-wrote their entire web site.  (The web site was up for several years, and then was updated by a new marketing team. Our work is fleeting sometimes! )

HERB-OX BOUILLON

Hormel needed a recipe book as a premium for the purchase of  Herb-Ox bouillon cubes, along with a book  introduction that highlighted the product history and benefits.  I named the 48-page book The Essential Ingredient, which was trademarked by Hormel for Herb-Ox promotions, and wrote the intro about the flavor, versatility, convenience and value of the product.  This was a TWC project.

INTERNATIONAL MASTERS PUBLISHING

International Masters Publishing created many collectible recipe card series for mail subscriptions.  TWC worked on two big recipe card projects for IMP, with over 900 cards in each series.  TWC did all the recipe development,  design and photography.  I  was lead editor on the production end, setting up schedules, coordinating the weekly production of the cards, writing copy, hiring recipe editors and copy editors, and in general keeping them going week after week.  Eighteen months each project,  12 cards a week. We never missed a deadline!

BAKERS SQUARE

TWC did a lot of collateral for Bakers Square, including menu photography and POS materials, such as table tents and pie menus.  I include this one because it's one of my favorite headlines that I came up with - for Heath Bar Pie.   Take a Toffee Break!  Table tents are a writing challenge because we have only four words, five words max, starting with an action word, and the headline needed (as all copy does) to be compelling. and unique for the pie variety.

HORMEL CHUNK MEAT

Hormel did a number of promotional recipe books with TWC.  Here is one example for Hormel Chunk Meat.  All the  books  needed quick intros; for this one I wrote about the different varieties being great building blocks for quick meals.
